Spring is here, and for many people, that means problems with allergies. If you suffer from common seasonal allergies, you may need to look at your HVAC system. With the proper maintenance steps, you can put your allergies to rest and breathe comfortably in your home again.

Here are a few questions you and your family can ask to determine whether you’re dealing with an indoor air quality problem:
While all these things don’t necessarily track back to poor indoor air quality, you don’t want to rule it out until you know for sure.
When you invest in HVAC maintenance in the spring, your air conditioning system will be as clean as possible when you need it in the summer. A clean AC is less likely to spread allergens, such as pet dander and dust, throughout your home, harming indoor air quality.
It’s also less likely to spread dust and dust mites. Your overall indoor air quality will improve when you get your system professionally tuned up once a year.
Air purifiers turn your home into a sanctuary again by eradicating 98% of contaminants floating around in your air. With the improved indoor air quality, you’ll have fewer problems with mold and other allergens. You may find that your allergy symptoms are reduced when you’re in your home. If you find yourself sniffling and sneezing at home, consider installing an home air purifier to improve the situation.
One of the tasks we perform during your maintenance appointment is replacing your air filter, which provides several benefits, including:
These benefits make a big difference in your enjoyment of your home and the function of your HVAC system. All it takes is one appointment for HVAC maintenance in the spring to enjoy them.
If you’re ready to enjoy these benefits, all it takes is one call to All Comfort Services. Schedule your spring maintenance now, and enjoy our upfront pricing and satisfaction guarantees. You can also join our maintenance club to save even more on HVAC maintenance.

If you’re concerned about allergies, choose a filter with a high MERV rating. MERV is a rating system from 1 to 20; the higher the number, the smaller the particles it can remove.
MERV 13 is a good option for removing allergens without impacting the system’s efficiency.
As you plan for your AC system’s maintenance, remember to change the filter more often in the spring. We recommend replacing the filter every month or two, but if you have allergy or dust problems, you may want to do it more frequently.
